Hello there! It is lovely to make your digital acquaintance. My name is Sara Connelly and I'm an animation professional based in Ottawa, Ontario. I'm currently working at Mercury Filmworks as the Assistant Department Head for Animation and animating for a yet-to-be-announced series for Disney TVA.

While I love working on all kinds of different animation projects, as a former Theatre Kid, my favourite kind of projects to work on are ones that are acting-forward (bonus points if it includes musical numbers). I'm also really passionate about creating and fostering healthy & effective work environments. Working with my teammates to help them problem solve & achieve their goals is my favourite part of my day-to-day work.

I graduated from the Animation program at Algonquin College in 2018 and I also completed my Bachelor's Degree in Theatre at the University of Ottawa. In the past, I've worked as a character animator, scene fixer, and lead the retakes department on a few productions. I've also taught character animation as a part-time professor in the animation program at Algonquin College. You can find my work in shows like Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, The Ghost and Molly McGee, and The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse.

I love to learn and try new things, so my list of hobbies/interests is ever evolving. It currently includes (but is not limited to):

- causal bird watching

- knitting, knitting & more knitting

- hovering in the cricut isle at Michael's

- trying to talk my way out of combat in D&D
